The Founder

Lindsay Rothschild, LCSW

With nearly two decades of experience in behavioral health, Lindsay Rothschild, LCSW, has built her career at the intersection of trauma and addiction treatment, clinical leadership, professional education, and organizational change.

Her work has spanned the full continuum of behavioral health, from direct clinical care and clinical supervision to program development, organizational leadership, staff education, and implementation of trauma-responsive models of care. She has led multidisciplinary clinical teams, developed and implemented treatment programming, trained behavioral health professionals, supervised clinicians, and partnered with organizations to translate clinical principles into everyday practice.

Throughout her career, Lindsay has been particularly interested in one question: What actually creates the conditions for people to heal?

That question led her to Salutogenesis — the study of what creates and sustains health — and ultimately to the creation of Salus Collaborative.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, pathology, or what is going wrong, Lindsay's work explores the resources, relationships, environments, and organizational conditions that help people move toward health. Her approach integrates salutogenesis with trauma-focused, relational, somatic, and nervous-system-informed care.

Today, she brings together her experience as a clinician, clinical leader, educator, and program developer to help individuals and organizations move from understanding these principles to actually putting them into practice.

She hasn't simply studied these models — she has lived them in her own recovery journey and spent her career applying, teaching, leading, and implementing them in real-world behavioral health settings.

Through Salus Collaborative, Lindsay now works across three interconnected areas: organizational consulting, professional education, and clinical practice, all grounded in a shared mission of creating the conditions for health.

Clinical Training & Expertise

Lindsay's clinical work is informed by specialized training in trauma and addiction treatment, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic and nervous-system-informed approaches, trauma-conscious yoga, and integrative approaches to trauma and addiction.

Her clinical experience also informs her organizational work. She believes sustainable change in behavioral healthcare requires attention not only to the interventions delivered to clients, but also to the clinicians delivering them, the teams surrounding them, the leaders supporting those teams, and the organizational cultures in which care occurs.

Why Salus Collaborative

Salus is the Latin word for health, safety, and well-being. It is also the name of the Roman goddess of public health. The name reflects the mission: not just the absence of illness, but the active creation of conditions that allow people, teams, and organizations to flourish.

Collaborative reflects how we work — alongside organizations, alongside clinicians, alongside individuals — not above or apart from them.
